Fall 2025 Edition ... Did You Know?

School Video Visits: Your Student can connect with a Corewell Health provider remotely from school if they are not feeling well through an enhanced video visit.

Ask your Middle or High School child's school office staff about how this new service can help you with your child's health while keeping them in school and possibly saving you an unnecessary visit to the doctor's office or urgent care.

All MCC School Buildings are Designated as MI HEARTSafe Schools

Heart

A HEARTSafe designation recognizes a school's efforts to prevent sudden cardiac death of the youth (SCDY) by preparing for a cardiac emergency. Each of MCC's school buildings has a Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) comprised of staff trained to recognize the signs of a sudden cardiac arrest and will respond quickly by calling 9-1-1 and using CPR and an automated external defibrillator (AED) until EMS arrives.

On a related note: our MERT Teams are also trained to recognize allergic reactions to bee stings, food allergies, etc. and when necessary, will deliver a life saving epinephrine pen injection that are housed at each school building.
